About Me

"She had always wanted words, she loved them; grew up on them. Words gave her clarity, brought reason, shape."
― Michael Ondaatje, The English Patient

I am Melody. I love sunsets, lazy Sunday mornings, and a good pint of Guinness. I enlisted into the military in 2013, and studied in the United Kingdom for four years from 2014 to 2018. Those were the best years of my life, but I hold on to the hope that there are happier days ahead. I find solace in adrenaline, and freedom in the belief that life is meaningless. My heart is still in Santorini.

As an INFP, I express myself best through my written words. I created melodysim.com in 2014 as a creative platform for me to pen down my thoughts and experiences. Since then, I've been journalling my raw emotions in the brightest and darkest of days, and I'm thankful that many have said that it has brought them comfort. I intend to continue doing so, until the day I can no longer move my fingers.

Writing is my therapy. If you were to journey through my archives, you will witness my coming of age. My story.

This blog is my autobiography. I'm a nobody but to those who come across this page, I hope that it will give you a glimpse into this peculiar mind of mine and perhaps, offer you a different perspective in life.
